80-90% RPMI 1640 + 10-20% FBS cells are difficult to culture; maintain at 0.5-1.5 x
10 6 cells/ml; split saturated culture at 1:3 every 2-3 days; seed out at ca. 1.0 x 106
cells/ml; it is of advantage to start in 24-well-plates at 37C with 5% CO2 maximal
density at about 2-3 x 106 cells/ml
